The Arpeggio Web Worx Calendar! module adds both private and public calendaring features to the Arpeggio powered website. This calendar system includes features for including images, pop up windows for in-depth event descriptions, comprehensive recurring event management, and full color print out and layout capabilities.

Because many organizations need both public and private calendars on their websites, the Arpeggio Calendar! tools include provisions for multiple public and private versions. For example, many of our clients have a distinct private calendar for staff events versus the public calendar for other events. Tours, classes, other public events appear on the public calendar, while Board of Directors or Sales Staff calendars include private information. Additionally, the private calendars can be configured by site administrators to either include some public events or to exclude them, depending on the needs of the organization.

The Arpeggio Calendar! system allows for the inclusion of recurring events as well as for single one time events. This is useful for weekly or other recurring meetings or events like birthdays, anniversaries, or annual conferences. The tool also allows for the upload of two images per event, so that one can be displayed on the Quick View version and another on the detail version, or both on one or the other or both.

Detailed information is not limited in scope, and is formatted in text in conjunction with default fonts used in the site templates.

The menu system for administering the calendars is simple and easy to use. Depending on the server configuration, images can be automatically sized to fit the online and print versions of the calendars.

Once events are added, it is a simple matter to edit them as well, adding or changing images, altering detailed text, or any other aspect of the event. Again, the interface is simple to use, and very straight forward.

We have found that clients use the calendar module for all sorts of event planning issues, and for communications between staff and also to the general public. The calendar module can be used to create multiple calendars that appear only in certain permission based areas of the site, or to create a single public calendar. Events can be displayed in either a public calendar, a private calendar, or in any combination.
